The “From Crisis to Development: Women Reproduce” project, which aims to support women’s access to income in Hatay, has officially launched. Supported by Turkish Philanthropy Funds (TPF), the project will provide tools, equipment, and material support to 30 women producers and empower hundreds more through consultancy and solidarity meetings.
This new initiative seeks to increase women’s participation in the economy, expand networks of solidarity, and make women’s labor more visible. It also aims to contribute to post-disaster economic recovery and develop long-term, sustainable solutions.
As part of the project, 30 women producers will receive tools, equipment and materials. Among them, 20 are women who have already started their businesses and want to grow them further. An additional 10 women entrepreneurs, who officially run registered businesses and employ at least one woman, will receive support to scale up their operations.
The project also includes a dedicated consultancy line offering women guidance on business development, legal procedures, digital marketing, and legal rights. In addition, gender equality-based group meetings will be held to promote the sharing of knowledge and experiences. In this way, a shared and supportive space will be created, not only for women included in the project, but also for those who are building or growing their businesses in Hatay or elsewhere in Türkiye.
We walk alongside women as they build their own lives, placing women’s labor at the heart of social and economic recovery. This project supports the economic empowerment of women during the post-disaster recovery process.
“From Crisis to Development: Women Reproduce” is implemented with the support of Turkish Philanthropy Funds (TPF). To learn more about TPF, please visit: https://www.tpfund.org
